Noise across the country against femicides: “Machismo does not take quarantine”

Starting from the slogan “Machismo does not take quarantine”, the women made a “noise” on Monday from the windows, balconies or terraces of their houses to demand the end of femicides.

Women’s groups point out that since the government implemented social isolation, there have been 12 femicides, according to data from Mujeres de la Matria Latinoamericana (MuMaLá).

The last two were those of Cristina Iglesias and her daughter Ada in Monte Chingolo. As revealed on Sunday TN.com.ar, the femicide Abel Romero confessed the double crime.

Given this situation, the Women’s Ministry, in charge of Elizabeth Gómez Alcorta, launched the red chinstrap campaign.

People in situations of gender violence will be able to approach or call a pharmacy and with this “key”, the staff will understand that this is a situation that requires help. This way they will call line 144 so that they can assist it comprehensively.
