The president of YPF affirmed that the company is achieving “results above expectations” in the mega deposit of Vaca Muerta

Pablo Gonzalez, President of YPF, attended this Thursday afternoon at the close of the twenty-seventh Industrial Conference organized by the Argentine Industrial Union (UIA), which took place at the Parque Norte exhibition center.

The YPF executive shared his presentation with Mark Bulgheroni, CEO of the oil company PAE.

We are about to be 100 years old in a moment of energy transition. And we are recovering YPF. We obtained 2 consecutive EBITDAs above 1000 million dollars and we were able to lower the debt to 2 times EBITDA “, explained Pablo González.

And he added: “We are achieving results above expectations: 59 of the 100 most productive wells in Vaca Muerta are from YPF; unconventional crude production went from 38,000 barrels to 58,000 barrels; two-thirds of YPF’s production already comes from from the unconventional. In two years we will achieve self-supply with the growth that we have in Vaca Muerta. ”

In addition, González reported that “the construction of a new gas pipeline to transport gas was announced. The first stage, with financing from the Budget and with the special contribution to the great fortunes that corresponded to YPF via IEASA. For the second section, we are talking with the companies to finance it and put non-interruptible transport as consideration “.

On the other hand, González confirmed that YPF is working with the Ministry of Economic Development to support SMEs.

“YPF works with more than 5000 companies throughout the country. We created the YMPULSO program that provides technical assistance and financing so that SMEs can join this growth process. And there is also a special line to finance working capital. We trust that there is going to be a rule that accompanies this whole process, “he concluded.
