Coronavirus in Argentina 92 ​​92 cases confirmed in a Don Torcuato neighborhood

To the 74 positive cases of coronavirus which were confirmed this Thursday morning in the San Jorge neighborhood of Don Torcuato, the Municipality of Tigre added another 18, to account for a total of 92.

The commune provided these details after knowing the results of the new swabs, held between this Tuesday and Wednesday in that area of ​​the north of Greater Buenos Aires.

All infected “they present mild or no symptoms and will be isolated according to current health protocols”, indicated the municipality in a statement.

“Work will continue in the San Jorge neighborhood, in coordination with the Provincial and National Health, Safety and Social Development teams, to carry out new tests and assist the neighbors in everything that this contingency requires“they detailed from the municipality.

This Thursday morning, the Minister of Social Development of the Nation, Daniel Arroyo, was in the party of Tigre with Mayor Julio Zamora, in a meeting that included the signing of a framework agreement for the delivery of food and cleaning supplies to vulnerable neighbors affected by the pandemic.

In addition, officials visited the municipal Isolation Center where more than 20 mild patients with coronavirus remain housed and isolated, and made a tour of the San Jorge neighborhood, where results of swabs performed on 82 other people are still awaited.

In statements to the media, the Buenos Aires Minister of Security, Sergio Berni, maintained that the San Jorge neighborhood “is not closed” and that it is currently the focus “most important virus in the province”.
