PARIS (AP) – The future of the coronavirus pandemic will depend on the actions of the population, said on Friday the director of the office of the World Health Organization (WHO) for Europe, Dr. Hans Kluge.
“It is very important to remind everyone that as long as there is no vaccine or effective treatment, there will be no return to normal,” Kluge said in remarks to the French radio station Europe-1. “This virus will not simply disappear, reason why the personal behavior of each one of us will determine the behavior of the virus ”.
“Governments have done a lot (to limit the virus) and now the responsibility falls on the population,” he added. “Before we said that public health is important to the economy. Now we have seen that without health there is no economy, there is no security national”.
