Turkish prosecutor formally charges 20 Saudis for Khashoggi murder

Turkey announced on Wednesday that it had formally accused 20 Saudis, including two people close to Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salmán, for the murder of editorialist Jamal Khashoggi in Istanbul in 2018.

In a statement, and after more than a year of investigation into the case, the Istanbul attorney general’s office identified two close associates of Prince Salman as masterminds of the crime: former adviser Saud Al Qahtani and former intelligence number one, the General Ahmed Al Assiri.
