The Ministry of Health confirmed eleven new cases of coronavirus

The Government announced this Saturday that controls on the entry of foreigners from areas with circulation of coronavirus will be intensified, while the Ministry of Health confirmed 11 new cases of Covid-19, with which the total of 45 infected, two of them deceased in the City of Buenos Aires and Chaco.

The Health Ministry confirmed this Saturday eleven new cases of Covid-19 that were registered in the city of Buenos Aires and in the provinces of Santa Fe, Chaco and the province of Buenos Aires, of which ten have records of travel to areas of risk and the remaining corresponds to close contact with one of the confirmed cases.

The report published by the national health portfolio indicates that the total number of confirmed cases in Argentina is forty-five, of which two died.

For his part, the Interior Minister, Eduardo “Wado” de Pedro, recalled that the National Directorate of Migrations (DNM) forwards “information to all provinces” about “the people who should be in quarantine.”

Also, the official remarked that “Argentines who returned from Europe, the US, South Korea, China and Iran and also foreigners who entered the country from those destinations must comply with the presidential quarantine decree for 14 days“

“In this framework, the National Migration Directorate (DNM) is sending to all the provinces the information of people who must be in quarantine so that the competent authorities verify their compliance,” he stressed.

In this sense, the head of the Interior portfolio assured that “the DNM carries out ex officio inspections to verify that foreigners from the aforementioned destinations are complying with the quarantine.”

After a tour of the Malbrán Institute, the Health Minister, Ginés González García, affirmed that the new measures “have to do with greater controls on the entry of foreigners in points such as Mendoza or the missionary city of Iguazú, where there is high circulation of tourists from areas with circulation of Covid-19 “.

For its part, the government of Catamarca requested the Nation to close the San Francisco International Pass, which connects it with Chile, for at least one month as part of the coronavirus prevention measures..

Meanwhile, it was announced that the first flight by Aerolineas Argentinas to bring back Argentine residents abroad, as part of the operation after travel restrictions in the United States, Europe and other countries imposed by the national government, will be on Wednesday the 18th from Miami.

As reported by the company in a statement, flight AR1305 will depart on March 18 at 6:40 p.m. from Miami airport bound for the city of Buenos Aires, thus fulfilling the objective set by the Executive Power to bring in Argentines who are not have been able to return after the closure of flights to Europe and the United States.
