Nine millionaires who plan to give away their money

Some millionaires give money to charity, but others seek to donate their entire fortune to a good cause.

The Giving Pledge is an initiative created by Warren Buffett and Bill and Melinda Gates, which is an invitation for the richest people in the world to give away a large part of their fortunes to causes that transform the world.

As of June this year, some 137 millionaires have joined the effort, some promising to leave 99 percent of their money to philanthropy.

Here are nine of these millionaires and their plans to transform the world:

1. The millionaire Paul Allen
