The effects of the social, preventive and compulsory isolation (Aspo) arranged in the country, to mitigate the effects of the pandemic of the new coronavirus (Covid-19), caused an almost complete stoppage in April in the areas of commercial activity.
This situation was reflected, for example, in the payment of rents for commercial premises, offices and warehouses.
A provincial survey showed that 41.22 percent of tenants of this type of units could not pay the rent in May, according to the survey carried out by the Professional Association of Real Estate Agents in the province.
42.98 percent of the tenants of these business units paid the obligation on time, while 15.80 percent made partial payments.
Reasons
According to the survey, of the 41.22 percent who could not pay the rent in May, 73.43 percent indicated that the main reason was the economic situation derived from Aspo, 17.43 percent due to problems related to the payment channel and a 9 , 14 percent to other reasons ..
The Professional Association of Real Estate Agents of Córdoba carried out the survey between May 13 and 14, on a universe of 350 public real estate brokers that involved 3,728 units dedicated to commercial activity (offices, shops and warehouses).
The sample was distributed to 191 professionals from the city of Córdoba and 159 distributed to 55 localities in the interior.
