The executive director of ANSES, Fernanda Raverta, warned that if the opposition does not give a quorum to deal with the draft Pension Debt Payment Plan only 1 in 10 women and 3 in 10 men will be able to retire in 2023.

The project allows people who have already reached retirement age, the regularization of contributions owed and guarantees that the person should not fall into the Universal Pension for the Elderly (PUAM).

Likewise, it empowers those who are at 10 years or less of reaching retirement age and do not have the necessary 30 years of contributionsanticipate and cancel the pension debt in advance.

If the project is approved, the cancellation of the debt would be done through a payment plan, with monthly installments adjusted quarterly by the retirement mobility formula. The amount will result from the equivalent of 29% of the minimum taxable remuneration: according to the amounts in force as of December 2022, this value amounts to $4,896.

How many people will be able to retire with this pension moratorium law?
