The Investment and Foreign Trade Bank (Bice) presented today the lines of financial assistance to more than 100 Cordovan businessmen called by the Industrial Union of Córdoba (UIC).

In a meeting via videoconference and broadcast live on YouTube, the president of the financial institution of the national government, José Ignacio de Mendiguren, heard from industrialists concerns about how to access the financing lines.

In this framework, the general manager of Bice, Gabriel Vienni, exposed the working capital line at a rate of 19 percent, a 12-month term and up to a six-month grace period.

It was also explained how the Guarantee Fund (FoGar) of 30,000 million pesos that the Ministry of Productive Development of the Nation contributed to guarantee loans of 120,000 million pesos for working capital at a rate of up to 24 percent.

In this meeting, the president of the UIC, Marcelo Uribarren, warned that according to a survey by the entity, 35 percent of the industries are not producing and that only 55.8 percent claimed to have had access to credits for payment of wages arranged by the national government to face the emergency generated by the coronavirus.

“Although overwhelmed like everyone else, I noticed in the industrialists a willingness to start thinking about what the recovery will be like to put the country on its feet and on the road to development,” said De Mendiguren.
